Announcement of diversity and inclusion travel grants
To encourage the participation of a more diverse pool of researchers, QoMEX 2024 is awarding grants to support the participation of researchers who self-identify as marginalized and/or underrepresented in the community (e.g., scholars who come from non-WEIRD – Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, Developed – societies) and, especially, those who lack funding opportunities in their institutions to attend the conference. Awards of up to 1.000,00 Euro (primarily covering travel and accommodation expenses) will be provided to selected applicants, with the exact value depending on the geographical areas (to maximize our reach), diversity (to improve inclusion), and topics (to expand into new areas).
The grant applications should be sent at the latest by May 10th 2024 to the Diversity / Inclusion Chairs Sara Vlahović (Sara.Vlahovic@fer.hr) and Rakesh Rao Ramachandra Rao (rakesh-rao.ramachandra-rao@tu-ilmenau.de) with “QoMEX 2024 diversity travel grant application” as the email topic.
